Oxford Grad

It has finally happened.  I have had my graduation ceremony at Oxford.  Mom and Dad are in town to help me celebrate and to hit the town.  We have been touristing London and fitting in some intense yard maintenance as well.  It has been a great week and has gone by quickly.  We did a bunch of things I haven't done in ages such as Harrods and the Sherlock Holmes museum.  Parts of town were too busy but we certainly covered a lot of ground.  I took three days off work to spend with them before my graduation as well so we have had a great time eating too much and just hanging out.  The cats have really enjoyed all this quality time as well.    The ceremony was mainly in Latin which I thought was unnecessary.  The graduates have to leave the ceremony part way through and then put on new robes for the degree you have completed.  I put on a new embroidered black gown with longer sleeves and a blue and grey hood.  It was quite heavy to wear but I was glad to get up from the ceremony to put it on because it was very boring listing to a stream of incomprehensible Latin.  The Sheldonian theatre where the it was held was very ornate which gave Mom, Dad and Taylor something to look at and perhaps take their minds one the uncomfortable wooden benches they were sitting on.  We returned from the ceremony and had a finger food lunch and champagne reception at Kellogg college.  A great time was had by all.  We returned to my house and had a massive feed of Chinese food and a bottle of champagne and then played Million Pound Drop together.  I am now completely tuckered out and heading to bed.  More photos to come soon!
