The Eden Project

As the weather turned rainy and cooler, we decided to do some indoor activities. I have heard about the Eden Project before and had recently watched a documentary on it so I was keen to see it. The biomes as they are called look like dish soap bubbles in the valley where the site is nestled. Many of the out door plants have just gotten started except for the tulips and daffodils but you can see where it is going in the summer. The two indoor biomes are Mediterranean and rain forest themed. The rain forest one is so hot and sweaty that it is hard to breath initially when you go in. People were coming out with sweat patches on their backs. There was a little hut half way through that you could go in to cool down. It was just a shed with air conditioning but it was extremely popular.
The biomes

There were lots of weird sculptures made out of recycled materials.

You can walk all the way to the top of the rain forest biome but it was so hot and sweaty
we looked around from the bottom

It was so hot in there we just wanted to wade into the waterfalls.
It came all the way from the top of the biome.

A big bee!
Some furry flowers in the Mediterranean biome
Some weird little totem poles or something.
And by the end of the day, the sun came out!
