Whale Watching in Victoria

I really like Victoria. It feels like a small town even though it is a big city. We stayed near the touristy part by the harbour. The whale watching was fun. We had to wear snowmobile suits and it took a lot of driving around to get to the spot where they were but when we got there we saw loads of them. One circled right around our boat to have a good look at us. It was hard to get a good shot of them before they went back under water again. You often heard them come up before you could see them and then it was too late to get a

photo. I gave up for a while I could just relax and watch them. There were two pods swimming and feeding around us.

They were very tranquil to watch even when they came up close. The boat docking area in the harbour had a few friendly faces as well but they kept slipping back under the water. Apparently the seals pop and beg for food at the dock side restaurant. Here is the best whale pic I could muster and a few other shots of Victoria.
