School
The new job is soooooo busy! I really like it though, I haven't felt this useful in a while. At the last school I was busy but I didn't feel I was accomplishing anything. Here I can see the kids actually learning something with a positive attitude. It makes me want to come to work each day. I wanted a better school and I have definitely got one and a contract job to boot! I like the added responsibility and the kids are for the most part quite sweet. I just got back from a camping trip with the year fours today and it was quite fun. There was a campfire, singing, soccer, and general running around. The weather really cooperated too which is unusual for this country. Another of the cool things that is happening at work is African drumming and singing lessons. The kids are learning all kinds of dances, songs and drum patterns from Ghana. It is amazing how most of them can pick these things up because they need a lot of coordination. I will try and get some pictures up from that as soon as I can because it is quite cool. I have successfully handled parents evening and will be putting on a pantomime with the staff which is looking like it will be hilarious. I have also started piano club for staff and students. All in all I am very happy with things. The staff is cool and kids are relatively normal. I really wasn't expecting to like it. During the first few days I was still waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak and have been pleasantly surprised that it never has. There are the normal school issues still to deal with like problem kids and difficult parents but it is a good job. I feel really lucky to have found it.

Tea Drinking
One thing I am really noticing here is that my tea drinking has gone up exponentially, especially at work. It is part of my routine to have tea as much as possible. I find myself thinking, I wonder if there is time for a quick bit of tea right now? I have a total administration day tomorrow where I will clear out my room and clear my desk of paperwork. This will also include the mugs that are accumulating. I expect about 1 million parents will becoming in tomorrow morning as well because we have just completed music auditions at school. I tried my best but everyone did not get what they wanted to play. This is a school where parents are very interested in their children getting precisely what they want so I am going to be waiting for them with a smile plastered on my face, haha. Ready the tea!

Fashion Week
I have booked a flight home for Christmas which is quite exciting as well. I am really looking forward to a little quality time at home with family and friends. Hitomi, a friend from Japan is potentially spending Christmas with my family as well which I am really hoping works out. But I do know how expensive a flight home at Christmas from Japan is so I won't hold it against her if she can't manage it. For the most part right now, school is taking up my life. I come home and prepare for the next day and that is it. It has just been really hectic and I want everything to be running perfectly before university starts. Speaking of which, I am paid and registered! That means I am really going! I can't believe it now that it is really on. I will have to balance things quite carefully and I am sure there will be days when one or the other comes up a little short in terms of preparation but such is life. Now that I have paid for school I am going to go out and buy some shoes which I have been waiting to do for some time. It was fashion week here in London this past week and there has been some really nice designs in the news papers each day. I can't wait for a little shopping!! I was down in Oxford Circus which is the shopping district and I saw this striking red crane. I like bold colours like that. The architecture there is so striking and huge that even the construction equipment seems to have to be made to match it. You are always looking up at the buildings here so I guess that is why I don't have many low angle photos recently.
One of the trends I am not that keen on is the peg leg trouser. It is not going to look good on me. They are the ones on the left in grey. I do like the dresses pictured above though, especially the middle one. I believe they are Vivian Westwood but I'm not sure. If they are I won't be running out to buy them. They probably cost a mint. The colours this season are great though. I love fall because of the colour palette and the weather. I have taken to wearing a waist coat recently and have had a number of compliments on it. My hair is currently short and curled. Lots of tights, lots of purple, just my cup of tea. Not much else to say. Oh yes, a big congratulations to Ryan and Jeff on the adoption of their beautiful son Hunter. I you both all the best and I can't wait to see the little man!
