I am trying a new look because I think it will be easier to read. So sleepy! I am also trying to stay awake at work right now. Wednesdays are always the toughest aren’t they? I am done my classes for the day and I have survived another school lunch so now I need to fill the rest of this day. A local artist came into the school to give me a gift which was nice. There has been a lot of gifts given in the past week or so. My principal gave me a necklace with the school sports insignia on it from some significant track meet in 1978. I guess he really hasn't taken my recent irradic behaviour to badly. The head teacher have me a nice looking mug with the school song and crest on it and then this guy came in today. He makes glazed pottery so he gave me a saki cup that he made with this stamp and signature on it. It’s very cool even though I am not a huge saki drinker.
Yesterday, I went to one of my elementary schools for the day call Soga. I took some pictures of the grade 2 and 3 kids doing some finger painting and having lunch. They were a lot of fun. This made up for the fact that my grade 4 and 5 classes were little buggers. I had one kid who kicked or hit everyone in the class at some point including his teacher when she took a ball away from him. He punched her in the leg really hard. They don’t really do much about that sort of thing here I guess. A large scale beating was in order for this child. At any rate, I won’t be seeing him for some time as I rotate through the classes when I visit. The grade 3 class was fun like always. They like their bugs here though. The boys often have a giant preying mantis or rhino beetle in their pocket for no reason at all. I am getting used to this. If a class is going to have a pet here then it isn’t going to be a hamster.
Well I think I’ll work on my Canada bulletin board until I have my first after school class. This is composed of boys who didn’t do enough work during the day. They will come to the staff room and apologize for not working and then probably still not get a whole lot done. Oh well, see you next year boys, same time, same place.

Is it just me or did that Master K and Jon basically post an ad in your blog? Spamming in a blog comments section? Wow! What is this world coming to?

Hey April,

blogspam is one of the most intrusive things I've seen advertising fall to. Anyway...I'm loving your stories!! What's up with that ill-tempered child?....didn't think that stuff was tolerated overthere. Your kids are sooo cute, reminds me of when I visited jamie's schools. I'm sure I don't have to tell you how much you're missed....but you are.
