Happy New Year Everyone! This is just a breif post to say hi to everyone before I head off to the sunny south. I am heading to Okinawa for five days with a few friends from work and Kosa. I went to Kyoto and Nagoya for New Years but I had to come home early after my pipes froze and burst at home. I didn't mind all that much. I needed to get the house in order for the new year and a big clean was definitly in order. Not too much stuff got destroyed. The house is still drying out. This is a picture of the Golden Pavillion in Kyoto. I hadn't seen it yet on any of my trips to Kyoto so it was nice to finally take it in. I bet it would look really cool under the snow. It had all melted by the time we got there. A very long drive to get home, about 9 hours in the car. I do like a car trip though.

Lets see, new years resolutions:

1. Make a post-JET plan

2. Drink less, sleep more

3. Be good to myself

If I can accomplish that list then I will be in good standing.
